Dr. Lindsey Scudder
I grew up on a small hobby farm raising sheep and goats, and spending my summers preparing my livestock projects for the local 4-H fair. These projects taught me leadership skills, the value of hard work, and most importantly responsibility. My knowledge and love for animals grew from this point on and I realized I wanted to spend my life working for animals and their owners.
I started my path to a career in veterinary medicine volunteering at vet clinics during high school and continued during my undergraduate studies at Central Michigan University. While in the CMU Honors College I studied both biology and leadership. After completing my veterinary school prerequisites in 3 years, I was accepted in to MSU College of Veterinary Medicine and eagerly headed to East Lansing. During vet school I spent my summers working at Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners in both their specialty and emergency medicine departments. During veterinary school my interest grew in small animal ophthalmology and internal medicine. I graduated in the top of my class with honors and I am excited to have joined the incredible Family Friends Veterinary team!
I now live in Rockford with my amazing and supportive husband Pete and our fur child, an Australian Shepherd, Wrigley. In our free time we enjoy being outside, working together on house projects, gardening, and spending time with our family and friends.
